What is the success rate of hair implantation?

The patient asks frequently about the success rate of the hair surgery. According to Dr. Arslan, the studies and the experience have shown that the rate of the success is 95% for men and 85% for women. Those rates are defined according to eventually regrowth of hairs from the grafts implanted and meeting the expectation of the patient.

What is the best method for the hair transplant?

There are two scientific accepted methods for the hair transplant:

  • FUT- Follicular Unit Transplant
  • FUE- Follicular Unit Extraction

Nowadays, the hair transplant techniques have been developed. FUE (follicular Unit extraction) is constantly evolving. When the level of the baldness is advanced we perform the FUE which is the implantation will be done by 2 steps: preparation of emplacement of the grafts (incision) then the implantation of the grafts. If in the recipient area there are existing hairs, then the doctor performs 2 steps in one that means he does the implantation directly with the CHOİ PEN which is known as DHI (Direct Hair Transplant).

In some cases, the hair transplant surgeons do perform the two types of implantation according to the shape of the recipient area. The level of density will be the same as its related to the grafts number not the implantation technique.

Is the implanted hair being permeant?

The implanted grafts will never fall out and will grow for a lifetime because there are taken from the back of the head which called the donor area.

The donor area is genetically coded.
